Our Model For Learning Leadership

Leadership can be learned but not taught. Leadership at its most elementary level means one person influences another. Within an organization everyone has the opportunity and the responsibility to lead. Leadership is not a matter of position. SFB Associates develops leaders at all levels.

There are four primary modalities for learning leadership. We incorporate all of them in our work with our clients.

Skill Building

Through our workshops and experiential activities we with work with participants to build new skills such as inquiry, decision making and trust building.

Feedback

We work with our clients to create an environment where people give and receive timely and focused feedback. Feedback needs to be more than the annual performance review process in all organizations.

New Mental Models

We support our clients with new frameworks for thinking about the business they are seeking to lead and the environment in which they work.

Breakthrough Awareness

We believe breakthrough awareness is an essential, if not the most critical element in embodying new leadership practices. For years we have emphasized the importance of powerful questions in our consulting practice. We lead people to their own Eureka! moment.
